Some of the approaches and methods used in Thulani's coaching include:

Logotherapy

Inherent in Thulani’s philosophy is a belief that within each individual lies a purpose, a calling or reason for being, one that is waiting to be discovered and fulfilled. Developed by the late Dr. Viktor Frankl, Logotherapy is a scientifically proven method used to support people in discovering the deeper meaning of life.  This technique aids clients in achieving the openness and flexibility needed to shape their day-to-day lives in a meaningful manner. As a result, clients who have experienced Logotherapy coaching are more able to access meaning and use it to enrich the quality of their lives. 

Cognitive Reframing

This technique, central to Thulani’s approach, helps clients learn how to interrupt limiting, disruptive and negative thought processes by replacing them with thoughts and beliefs that are affirming and more consistent with their desired outcomes and changes. To support this process, Thulani uses affirmations, visualization, visioning, and self reflection. 

Making A Change

The Theory of Making Change, a model created by James Prochaska and Carlo DiClemente, offers a six-step process for creating lifelong changes.  This stages-of-change model recognizes that behavioral changes are often very difficult to make and that change does not occur instantaneously or in one step, but rather over a period of time and by following a systematic process.  In addition, this method suggests that each stage in the process of making life changes is valuable and worthy of recognition.  Thulani uses this six-step process to support clients in initiating personal and/or professional changes. 

Mindful Awareness

Mindful Awareness, the moment-by-moment process of actively attending to and observing one's experiences, is an ancient concept with over 2,500 years of history and development that has recently been brought into the business world.  Thulani uses mindfulness techniques to assist clients in clarifying purpose, setting goals, developing a mission and vision for oneself or an organization, and for the purposes of stress reduction.
