Change Your Life with your Thoughts

We have all heard the phrase, "you can't teach old dogs new tricks," or we've heard friends or loved ones say, "I will never change" or "this is just the way things are." These are not merely catch phrases that people use, they are beliefs that have become hardwired into our subconscious mind and —like a cancer — have infiltrated our collective consciousness as a society. On a deep level, many people do not think they can change, so they adopt a limiting attitude about life and what is possible for themselves. We become victims of our circumstances and habituated into "playing the cards we've been dealt," rather than seeing the infinite possibilities of the human mind.

Science and Mind imageQuantum Science has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that our thoughts, feelings and beliefs determine our reality. There is no denying the intrinsic connection between our thoughts and how we experience our day-to-day reality. Who we are and who we will ultimately become is a direct result of the way we think. By learning to improve the quality of our thinking, we inevitably improve the quality of our lives. Your present condition, whether it be positive or negative, is a reflection of your predominant thought patterns. So if you desire to make positive changes in your life, you must first look at how you are thinking.

In recent years, experts have learned that the brain can actually rewire itself — changing its physical structure and function through experience, thought and behavior. This means that the brain is flexible, so if you introduce a new habit or behavior into your life, with practice and repetition, you are literally reprogramming your mind and changing your brain!

Let’s say you want to develop better study habits, become more focused, have a relationship, lose weight or start exercising. Regardless of what you would like to change or create, please consider the following:

  • Make sure that the changes you desire to create are well thought out and are grounded in real purpose.
  • Visualize and meditate daily and throughout the day what you are desiring to create or change.
  • Commit to doing what is necessary on a daily basis to bring out your desired changes.  All of the affirmations in the world will not give you want you want if you do not take the necessary action.

It takes roughly 21 days of consistency to create a new habit. By engaging in affirmations, meditation, and visualization and by taking action every day, you will begin to notice a change in the area that you are focused on. Be patient and kind with yourself throughout this process and, most of all, have fun!
